2026 Camp Counselors
Epsilon Camp is seeking students of mathematics who are passionate about sharing their love of mathematics with children. If you are an undergraduate or graduate student studying mathematics and are interested in applying to be a counselor at Epsilon Camp, please visit our Jobs page.
Heather is pursuing her PhD in mathematics at Texas State University, and focusing on group theory for her research. She is passionate about exploring and sharing mathematics with others, and has worked with students and peers of all ages on a myriad of puzzles and problem-solving challenges. When she’s not thinking about math, she enjoys playing board games or getting lost in a good book.
Ariella is from Wilmette, Illinois (a suburb north of Chicago) and is an incoming Sophomore at Cornell University where she is studying math. She loves solving puzzles and teaching others, and she plans on being a math professor when she’s older. This is her second year with Epsilon Camp, and she’s so excited to spend two weeks this summer helping the kids apply their mathematical knowledge in fun and engaging ways!
Celia is graduating from William & Mary with a Math major and Physics minor and will be pursuing her PhD in Math at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. She has particular interests in abstract algebra and combinatorics and loves sharing fun puzzles with others! In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading, and kayaking. Celia was a counselor two summers ago and is very excited to be returning to Epsilon Camp this year!
Freya is currently an undergraduate at UC Irvine, majoring in Applied Physics and Mathematics. She is a lifelong math lover, and has been involved in math enrichment—volunteering at math circles, math tutoring, working at math summer camps, and math mentoring—for over half a decade. She is passionate about fostering greater accessibility and diversity in math. Outside of math and physics, Freya enjoys sewing and reading.
Grace is from Suwanee, GA and graduated from Dartmouth College in the spring as a mathematics major and pre-med. She will be taking a gap year before heading to medical school! As a mathematics major, she loved learning probability and sharing topics she found fascinating with her non-math major friends. She hopes to share this excitement with others at Epsilon Camp and looks forward to spending an amazing summer! In her free time, she enjoys crafting, journaling, and cafe hopping.
Indigo is from Brunswick, Maine, and they will be a freshman at Amherst College in the fall where they hope to major in Math. In addition to Math, they love singing, dancing, and playing Minecraft with their friends. They also love board games, logic puzzles—especially Killer Sudoku—and trivia, even though they are bad at it. This is their first time being a camp counselor, but they are incredibly excited to be working at Epsilon Camp!
Joanna is a second-year mathematics major at the University of Kansas. She loves making friendship bracelets, trying new foods and playing video games in her free time. In the future, she wants to teach math. She is extremely excited to be a counselor at Epsilon Camp this summer!
Kierra recently graduated with her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University. This is her first summer at Camp Epsilon and she is looking forward to meeting all of the students. In her free time she likes to tap dance, explore nature, and read new books. Kierra hopes to be a supportive person campers can rely on this summer.
Liam Day is a master’s student at Cal Poly SLO, studying mathematics. He is passionate about a wide variety of discrete mathematics and the creativity involved in combinatorial thinking. Outside of math, Liam enjoys music, reading, and spending far too much of his time in nature. He is thrilled to be joining the Epsilon Camp team this summer!
McKenna is a School Psychology graduate student at Fresno State with a passion for supporting students social, emotional, and academic development. For the past two years, she has worked as a behavioral interventionist, where she gained experience building strong relationships with students and implementing individualized supports. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, baking, and spending time outdoors whenever she can. She is excited to be joining Epsilon Camp for the first time this summer.
Nolan recently graduated from University of Missouri in Columbia with his Master's in Applied Math. In the fall, he will begin teaching math at Battle High School in Columbia, for which he is very excited. He attempts to divide his free time between running the Mid-Missouri Weightlifting Club, reading lots of books, cooking and baking for his girlfriend, riding his bike around town, and playing his favorite video games, but this is usually too much.
Peyton Rose is happy to be back and work another summer with Epsilon Camp. He studied mathematics at Michigan state University, and is always eager to find new ways of sharing his enthusiasm of math with others. Peyton spends his free time playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends, creating digital art, and cooking new recipes. In the future, Peyton is looking forward to working while giving back to his local community through mathematics and education opportunities.
Raine is a School Psychologist based in New York. She has experience working with students across a range of academic and behavioral needs and enjoys helping them build confidence and independence in learning. Outside of work, Raine loves traveling and spending time in nature. This is Raine's first year at Epsilon Camp and she is excited to spend the summer supporting campers and exploring Utah.
Zuriel is excited to work her third summer with Epsilon camp! She has just earned her bachelor’s in mathematics with a minor in computer science from Scripps College and plans to next get a teaching credential. She has a particularly strong interest in both Number Theory and Analysis. Outside of mathematics, Zuriel loves to explore her creative side through digital art and ceramics.
