Fundraising Campaign 2023
Thank you to everyone who supported Epsilon Camp leading up to summer 2023! In total, our 2022 fundraising campaign raised $80,372. Due to the generosity of our families, we were able to revamp our financial aid formula to provide more generous and impactful financial assistance. We raised the AGI cutoff to $150,000 with consideration of the number of family dependents, with no limit on eligibility for multiple years of attendance. Our financial aid is significantly more generous than in years past, and considers the full cost of attendance – tuition plus room and board for a camper and a parent – in its formula. We also made measurable progress in providing financial assistance to more families. Epsilon Camp 2023 was able to offer $21,881 in financial aid, including the Mitra Sponsorship.
Our ambitious fundraising goal this year is $100,000, with the aim to sustain and grow our exceptional program. This will enable us to increase compensation for faculty and staff, ensure affordability without raising tuition, work towards our long-term goal to provide meaningful financial aid to all qualified applicants, and offer more support for families in need. In particular we will strive to:
Increase faculty compensation, to attract and retain educators who are not only skilled in teaching, but also passionate about guiding our young students.
Work towards offering fair compensation for camp leadership and staff, many of whom are currently working on a voluntary basis or receiving nominal pay.
Hire more counselors, to provide additional classroom support.
Establish a travel fund to cover the cost of travel to/ from camp for eligible financial aid recipients. We recognize that supporting families with financial barriers to Epsilon Camp may require more than tuition assistance.
Grow our endowment fund so we are able to offer a high quality program that leaves a lasting, positive impact on campers and their families for many years to come.
